Founded in 1987 by Daniel Johnson, the Texas Early Music Project is dedicated to preserving and advancing the art of Medieval, Renaissance, Baroque, and early Classical music through performance, recordings, and educational outreach.

Lawrence Rosenwald, narrator & bass

Lawrence Rosenwald is the Anne Pierce Rogers Professor of English at Wellesley College, where he has taught since 1980. Among his recent publications are Multilingual America: Language and the Making of American Literature and a Library of America edition of Emerson's journals; he is currently working on an anthology of American antiwar writing, also for the Library of America, and on a large study of nonviolence and literature. He has recorded with New York Schola Antiqua, Pomerium, and Christmas Revel; he has also written and performed some forty verse scripts for early music theater productions, most often at Amherst Early Music, where he has been teaching since 1982, but also for the San Francisco Early Music Society and the Texas Early Music Project.
